Background
One great day I became a part of a great team which worked on a new incredible tool for Growers and Distributors. I had the luck to be responsible for UI/UX design of the product. The ProducePay app will provide access to all services the Buyers and Sellers need, from negotiating with customers and placing offers to getting detailed reports and market exploring.
That is where it all started
UX First
We started with a research, defining audience and main usage scenarios.

We did have a great PO working on this project and I was able to get the initial research that helped me a lot in my future work.

Flows
Having all the data we needed we started to build User Jorney and User Flows for the main features of the product. It took several  several iterations before we get what we wanted.
Low Fidelity and Prototyping
After the structure of the future product was defined we started to make wireframes in order to specify key layouts and interaction patterns. We built a lot of live prototypes using invision. It took a few rounds of updates before we were ensured that this part of the job is done.

Web Application
After we had all we needed we started to build our Web Application. We wanted to create something that our clients would love using and we decided that our goal is a clean, usable design.
Negotiation
The flow is designed to make negotiation between Seller and Buyer easy and rapid. Offers tracking, Â counteroffers placement and chatting with partners can be done in a few clicks.
Pricesheet Creation
To list a price shit on the app, you need to fill in the price sheet’s items and pick the customers who will be shown the price sheet
Marketplace and Offers Management
All offers are placed in the marketplace so users can always get the most relevant of them.
Reports
The market report is a source of knowledge on the dynamic market. Our users have access to a full range of data and analytics including real-time market pricing, weather, and movements. We also provide customers with insights on their customers’ activity to optimize sales strategy.

Mobile Friendly
One of the main touchpoints between the clients and the product is ability to get informed about all relevant offers as soon as possible. Using our mobile version of the platform our clients can manage their offers on the go.

User Testing
We ran User Testing for every feature to find things we should improve across all trading experiences. We carefully observed users’ behavior and patterns in order to come up with solutions. We realized that we are not our customers, that’s why we we preferred to perform usability testing during the early stages of our process. We reviewed recordings of our User Tests and figure out the problems and pain-points that our users had. We recruited most loyal of our customers and ran our usability study sessions remotely.

Tools Used
Each activity requires a specified tool. We used Sketch for high fidelity mockups and wireframing, Invision for prototyping and user testing. Developers got specifications and design deliverables in Zeplin. Principle was used for motion design. And ofcourse we used Google Docs for everything, from note taking to requirements defining.

Simple, but strategic tool for sales and recruiting professionals. Includes Data Mesh Network that consists of 600m+ unique profiles and 100+ data partners.

Starting from scratch
Challenge
The main goal was to make a solution for in-house recruiters that would cover whole recruitment process from research to offer acceptance. Second, was to provide recruiters with the pool of candidates with actual information. Research helped us understand that recruiters were looking a way to keep all communication in one place. Hence, the app combined these requirements and serve as an ultimate solution. Â

The Problem Solver
Web Application
Keeping in mind that users may very well spend up to 8 hours using our application, we had to ensure that it was suitable for professional use. We wanted to eliminate all unnecessary elements to create an excellent efficient User Experience. We kept the overall UI simple to avoid making the app heavy and unusable. As a result, we achieved an exceedingly clean UI while keeping it simple enough to maintain and expand.
Talent Pool and Jobs Management
Our Data Mesh Network called Talent Pool provide recruiters with enormous amount of relevant candidates profiles. Candidates placed to a selected job can be managed using our kanban-like staging system.
Powerful Messaging System
All Candidates can be reached thru email or text messages right from our app. The main point of this feature is keeping all the relationship history in one place.
Inbox and Agenda
All the incoming activities, as well as upcoming events are storing in one place and easy to overview.

Reports providing the team members with the valuable information they need to improve their process.

This is a powerful tool that allows recruiters to set up a sequence of automated emails depends on candidate answer.
Ultimate Helper
Chrome Extension
The extension seamlessly integrates into recruiter’s current prospecting process on LinkedIn, Github, and AngelList. It provides recruiters with actionable data for every person of interest and with even more robust capabilities in Jobjet’s web app. A recruiter can prospect one person at a time, or many people at once in special “bulk mode” from the Search Results page. Getting contact info, geting in touch, adding to a custom list, and tracking communication history are main features of this extension.

While working on the main product, we made several side projects. Some of them were made to check our theories on practice, others were meant to provide our clients with additional services. Here are some of them.
Hound Project
We launched this project to test demand for our maid feature called Talent Cloud before incorporating it into our main application. Basically it’s a database of candidates profiles and simple jobs management system.
Job Portal
Job Portal is an addon for the main application that allows to place and manage all open opportunities on company website.
Externals
Candidate profiles and opportunities can be shared with someone from outside of the app. That’s why we developed a representation of this functionality for external users.

Website
The website was designed responsively and adapted for the mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. Â Our goal was to provide the best browsing experience and show the primary features and site content optimal way regardless of device type. Here is one of the versions of the website.
